More Children, More Active, More Often
We want all our children to be physically active and learn how to lead healthy lives which we hope they will take into their future lives. They are encouraged to take risks, work effectively in teams and learn how to win and lose.
Physical Education inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. It should provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect. Follow the link to the 2014 National Curriculum for PE

Dance gives children rich opportunities to be creative and to experience inspiration and enjoyment. Creating and performing will be the core activities for all children, and taking part in dance contributes to their physical education and physical activity. Learners develop their technical skills and the quality of their movement, and use their imagination and skills to create and choreograph dance sequences.
