Special Educational Needs
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at Corvedale C of E Primary School
'Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are quicky identified. All staff know the pupils well and ensure that adaptations are in place to support learning. This helps most pupils with SEND to learn well.' Ofsted - April 2024
At Corvedale CE Primary School we aim to support all children to be the very best they can be and to achieve and develop both academically and personally.
The staff at Corvedale CE Primary School are committed to providing care and education to all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
A child has special educational needs if he or she has difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for him or her to learn than most other pupils of a similar age. Many children will have a special need of some kind during their education. Some children will need extra help and support from us, for some or all of their time at our school.
Miss Marsden is the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) at Corvedale C of E Primary and she works half a day a week. Miss Marsden can be contacted on 01584 841630.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, it is helpful to chat to their class teacher in the first instance, prior to speaking to the SENDCo.
