Flash flooding at school
Flash flood closes school.
Storm Babet struck in Diddlebury causing disruption in the village and at school. Heavy rain caused the back playground to flood which leaked into Nursery, class 1 the purple room and the hall.
Thankfully staff were on hand to mop up and prevent too much damage. Sandbags were brought in as extra protection as water poured in from the fields behind school.
In the village rising flood watered made it extremel difficult to access the village and school was cut off for a number of hours.
